Shipping Coordinator
Full-Time (2nd shift)
Responsibilities:
- Provides daily direction for all packing and shipping activities, domestic and foreign
- Performs and/or coordinates all inventory audits per the defined audit schedule
- Works closely with the Director of Supply Chain to control shipping and packaging costs
- Ensures all parts are packed per operation sheets and communicates when instructions are missing
- Assists in implementing operating procedures and promotes continual improvement within the department and the company
- Uses dispatch reports and visual management tools to drive daily shipping goals
- Interfaces with other departments to ensure the timely delivery of customer releases
- Utilizes customer shipping portals to ensure the correct parts are picked and shipped daily
- Accountable for packing performance and inventory audit deadlines
- Maintains packaging materials inventory levels
- Candidate will also perform Selective Brush Nickel Plating according to company standard operating procedure
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in business Preferred
- Minimum 2 years of shipping lead experience
- Knowledge and experience with all shipping functions, foreign and domestic
- Experience with sourcing and specifying packaging materials
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong logistics management and cost control
- Applied Continuous Improvement Training/Certification
- Cross functional team leadership
- Project Management
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook is Required
- ERP system experience, preferably Plex ERP
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties for this job, alternating between standing and sitting. Also perform walking, gross manipulation, fine motor manipulation, visual acuity, using foot controls, lifting/carrying, pushing, and pulling.
- Must be able to perform repetitive movements daily.
- Required to always wear safety shoes and safety glasses when on the shop floor.
- Required to use cranes (lifting), when needed
- Performing tasks in a clean room environment
- Required to use computer or touch screen to enter work order data.
- Must be able to move and lift objects of up to 50 lbs.
- No travel required
